As you work on this assignment think about how you can better manage a group or class of students. This approximately 5-10 minute video will demonstrate a general understanding of this module.
Click here to download a one-page guide on how to use our mobile app to record and share video.
Step 1- Choose a date and time you can record yourself in a classroom incorporating this standard/module and coordinate with the teacher.
All BCOE students already have a Sibme account.
Start here to set-up your account
To login, go to app.sibme.com
Your username is the email you shared with this program
Your temporary password is: sibme1 (lower case-no spaces)
When you successfully log in, you will be taken to your Dashboard by default.
Change the temporary password by going to User Settings (upper right hand corner in the dropdown menu by your name)
While in User Settings, you may unsubscribe to email notifications (not recommended with the possible exception of “video comment notifications”) and adjust the time zone. SAVE CHANGES.
Step 2- Set up your recording device, conduct the lesson and record using Sibme.
Mobile Device
- Download the free Sibme app from the iTunes app store for iOS devices or go to the Google Play Store for Android devices—you will need storage room to download the app
- Log in using the username and your new password—you are ready to go!
This video gives you an overview of our iOS app. We also have an Android app that can perform all of the same functions.

- Demonstrate how you provided opportunities for for all students to engage in peer discussion and reflection of their work.
- Video a teacher who provided opportunities for for all students to engage in peer discussion and reflection of their work.
- Video a teacher who did not provide opportunities for for all students to engage in peer discussion and reflection of their work and identify how they could of created those opportunities.
Step 4- Summarize the content of your video on Sibme and include a short description of the focus using the time stamped comments feature.
Your focus should be: How did you provide opportunities for all students to engage in peer discussion and reflection of their work?
You will use the time-stamped comment feature to accomplish this task. This video will explain how to add time-stamped comments to a video in your Workspace.
While this video shows you how to accomplish this on the web version of Sibme, you can also do this on the mobile version in My Workspace.
Step 5- Rename the video
Rename the video you want to submit with the Module Title and the Course Number (1,2 or 3) before sharing the video.
To rename your video on the web, click just below the thumbnail of the video in My Workspace. Rename the video and click the check mark to save.
To rename a video on iOS, go to Workspace at the bottom of the app, then find the video you want to rename and swipe left. Tap on “more” and select “Rename”
To rename a video on Android, tap on Workspace at the top of the screen and find the video you want to rename. Tap on the three dots to the right of the video and select Rename.
Step 6 – Copy the video to your huddle through Sibme.
At this point, your video is stored in My Workspace, your private cloud storage. You are the only person who can see video in your Workspace. To share video, you must copy the video to a huddle.

Additional Notes
Upload Speeds
Since none of your assignments require recording more than a 10-minute video, it should not take, on average, longer than 5-10 minutes for the file to upload and process successfully if you record with the Sibme iOS or Android app in low or medium resolution.
- Many factors impact the speed at which files are loaded
- The number of devices connected to the wireless router in your home
- The internet provider you use
- The performance plan you selected from your provider
- The age of your computers and mobile devices
- Options to improve the upload speed
- In the mobile Sibme app (prior to recording), go to “Video and Network settings” in the “More” area and choose to record in the lowest resolution
- When a file is uploading from Videos (on an IOS device) don’t leave the upload screen or Sibme iOS app. The video will upload in the background on your iOS device, but it will take longer to upload if you leave the app and use other apps.
- Turn off “auto-lock” (Go to settings—General—Auto-Lock) if you plan to do other things on your phone while the file is uploading.
- Close out other applications that are running in the background on the device to reduce memory consumption
Alternative Ways to Record
In addition to using a mobile device, you may also record in Sibme’s web app version with your computer’s webcam provided that you are using Google Chrome and/or Safari web browser. While logged into your Sibme account (and in your Workspace), select the orange Upload Video button to the right of the screen. This will take you to a list under the heading of Choose Files. Record Video is the last choice in the list. After you select Record Video and the webcam is ready, select the blue Record Video button. When finished recording, press Stop. Then choose the blue Upload button. The video will be uploaded to your workspace.
